Zig Zag Springs also called Serpentine or No-Sag Springs, are a chair and sofa seat spring made from tempered wire, which is formed into evenly spaced curves or 'loops' for a fully supportive and top quality seating system. Made in our New Zealand spring factory from strong, quality, Australian Steel for long-lasting support.

How To Instructions:
  • Span refers to the size of the furniture frame the spring will fit from end to end. It is not the length of the spring itself.
  • Gauge is the measurement of wire diameter - wire thickness
  • Length in terms of 'No. 'U's' is the number of 'U' shaped bends in the wire
  • Pitch is measured as the distance between the centre points of one 'U'.
  • If necessary, you can shorten the springs by cutting the wire. It is then advised that the end is bent or crimped to ensure the springs stay in place. This can be achieved by using a SPRING END FORMER.
  • Zig Zag Springs should be used with CONNECTING LINKS or SPRING TWINE.
  • Zig Zag Springs are fastened with single metal 'Z' CLIPS or continuous plastic CLIP STRIP
  • Zig Zag Springs are available in ARC or FLAT options depending on the height of the 'crown' required and the overall desired appearance.
  • ALSO Available: ARC springs (click here to view) are available in bundles of 5 or more individual springs or 40m continuous rolls in 9g (3.658mm), 10g (3.251mm) and 12g (2.642mm).
