100% natural unbleached cotton and black calico fabric.Produced on a Sulzer Shuttleless Projectile Loom for strong and stable weft insertion with consistent quality. Calico is a plain-weave fabric with a warp and weft of equal weight that is tightly woven at right angles for strength and durability. These attributes, combined with its understated, natural finish, create a versatile fabric that is ideal for use as dustcover, upholstery lining, quilting, curtains and curtain linings, craft projects and 'mock-up' garments.
The minimum cut length is 5 metres.

Understanding Weaving Terms to Determine Fabric Quality:
If you're wondering what is a "20/20 yarn count?" Or "what does 60/60 construction mean?" We have included some definitions below to demystify our Calico Technical Specifications.
- Yarn: A continuous strand of natural or man-made fibres used in weaving to produce a fabric. Calico is made up of 100% natural unbleached cotton fibres.
- Yarn Count: Refers to the size of the yarn and is defined by its weight and fineness. Yarn counts are presented in numbers i.e., 20/20 and 21/21, where the first number is the size of each ply (number of yarns twisted together to make a single thread) and the second number is the number of piles (the raised surface or nap of the fabric). The higher the ply size number is, the thinner the yarn. Therefore 21/21 is a slightly thinner fabric.
- Fabric Construction: Refers to the number of warp and weft yarns per one inch of fabric to determine the yarn density in a sheet of fabric. Ends per inch (EPI) and Picks per inch (PPI) i.e, 60/60 (warp yarns/weft yarns).
