Our European-style side-mounted slat holder, designed for 50mm to 53mm wide slats, provides easy assembly and exceptional comfort during use. The slat pockets are made from flexible, rubber-like plastic and are secured to the bed frame with two supplied pins. The natural spring of the flexible slats, combined with the flexible slat holder, offers maximum comfort and support. Each slat holder comes with two pins included.

• Dimension 'B' in the diagram is 8.5mm which should take an 8mm to 9mm thick slat
• Dimension 'C' in the diagram is 32mm
• Cleat hole is 10mm diameter and cleat hole depth is 15mm
• Cleat holes are drilled at 64mm centres
• Slat holders are usually positioned 130mm apart

Each slat holder is supplied with two pins, which are usually located in 10mm holes drilled into a wooden cleat running along the inside of a flexible slat bedside rail.  Slat holders are generally drilled at 64mm centres for the pins and positioned 130mm centres apart.  Wider beds such as Double, Queen, King or Super King require a centre rail to which the middle flexible caps are positioned back to back with a 5-10mm separation between them.  The slat combinations can be 13, 14 or 15 rows each side thereby requiring 52, 56 or 60 slat holders for the wider beds. Slat holder pins - 2 per slat cap - are included in the price of each slat shoe.
